Majohn C5 (Review) - 6th Jan - Interesting Rate 5/5. Majohn is always the leader among the gang in term of novelty, breaking the ice and challenging Mont Blanc without a law suite.

I name the filling system as Trudeau Filling System, because:
Majohn C5 Trudeau Filling System Pilot Con70 pump filler Parker vacumatic

Junlai 900 Ebonite - 10th Jan - Interesting Rate 2/5

2024.11

Hongdian launched two pens this month in collaboration with "Aerospace Design" (天空文创, a gifting design wing of Bearu 208, under China Aerospace Science Industrial Corporation)

Hongdian CA351 - metal engraved cap, engraved grip and polished final; resin barrel. #6 steel nib with starry engrave; Gen IV knife grinding; converter.

Hongdian WA351 - metal skeleton cap, metal engraved barrel and gridded grip. same nib as CA351.

Asvine J16 - share high resemblance to Majohn Ti136 Matt Verison, but with open ink window. First available to oversea in min Nov, unavailable to Chinese domestic before min Dec.

2024.10
Junlai Wingsung 900 - titanium piston, #9 18K nib. China Launch Price: RMB 2700 (USD 370)
Hongdian A7 - #6 steel nib (China Knot), converter, stabilized wood.

Majohn V60 - homage to Omas 360 with triangular shape, but with a piston. This pen was first seen from a French youtuber on 8th Oct, bought from Indian seller who removed the sales links immediately afterwards. The pen was openly discussed after min Oct. No idea for its initial discreacy fuss.

2024.08
Hongdian C2 - the exposed nib version of the C1 (steel hooded nib +converter), in following colors variations.

2024. 07
exerciting month. Both new launches are worthy talking about.
7th - almost my grill pen Majohn Ti136
14th - Hongdian third models in 925 silver S24 Yinglong (Silver Dragon)

2024.06
nothing. quite.

2024.05
I finally bought JunL 629 Steel

In the end of month, Hongdian flooded the market with new:
  • C1 in Stainless Steel - behold of another updating is coming! I am quite expecting that.
  • A9 (ebonite feed + #8 nib + converter) - very interesting pen, kinds of Delta taste pen, but at super
  • D5S (Qin with converter)
  • two new wood with new coating in 1845
Also the Asvine V200 is released in China starting at RMB 200 (USD 28), one month after it was first released to overseas buyers starting at USD 57. I found this pen too regular in 2024: regular feed, regular steel nib, regular vacuum. BUT, the durability of acrylic + titanium connection, is something I would never have faith in.

For Jinhao, the 9013 and 1935 was launched.

  • 9013 is baby version of 9016, overall shorter, with a standard 0.7ml converter, same section width of 9016.

  • 1935, stupid design of guitar, which is the wrong instrument used by Ni Er who this pen is dedicated to, I am doing the article.
Overall, this month is quiet.

2024.04
JunL 632  - best of Made in China so far.

Majohn released the P139, after 6 months of first spy shot. I don't like the pen. check my YT review for details.

2024.03
Majohn C1 & C4 - not recommended

2024.02
Majohn P138 - Eleganto! But I am still concerning its capacity of 1.2ml is too few as a piston, due to assembly quality.

Hongdian 1845 - China Knot Soft nib.

2024.01
Jinhao 9019 & 9016 - 9019 with world biggest convertor, and 9016 features a smaller yet still as large as a regular piston capacity. Wide range of colors with very friendly price.
