Review- Majohn P139 Expedition

The first leak of this pen dated back to Nov, 2023. After some regular delays, it was launched yesterday.


The high price due to:

1. ebonite feed - but it does not come with Low Ink Refill function

2. all metal piston components - why? MB Hemingway with all metal piston mechanism? 

so, both "upgrade specifications" do not actually deliver any "upgrade in function". 


Pro:

  • quite a bit vintage pen look, homage to MB Hemingway, don't sleep old man don't sleep. 


Con: 

  • expensive, compared with other makers with similar specifications. 
  • no Low Ink Refill function. 
  • when posted, the cap will rest on piston knob and turn it with ease (pictures near the end).

    Hey! I saw your Youtube review of this pen. It looks very nice even if the pen needs a full ink bottle. You can get an ink reservoir for some ink bottles (like the old Sailor Jentle inks), which solves that problem. Do you have a writing sample of the nib? It looks like a copy of the Delta Dolce Vita pen more than a Montblanc.
