Junlai launched her first #9 in 18K in Oct 2024 (Junlai 900) at USD500ish. It did not cause that much sensation. My theory:
- the whole FP market apatite is welcoming more towards the low end market.
- wealth of the west has been shrinking over the last decades.
Here is a cheap version of the Junlai 900: Junlai 930,
- #9 Steel nib in F/M/B (first time steel B available from Junlai, or any other Chinese makers);
- Two colors (black/burgundy) resin
- Torpedo with slot ink windows
Before you buy a Junlai 930, do remember asking your trafficker to throw in a free wrench for your USD50 pen, which retails for USD24 back in China. The wrench for 930 is for all #9 nibs from Junlai. Your previous tool for 630/629 is not going to fit in the gargantuan bolt on 930. Only appropriate tool be able to secure you with a tight seal.
Enjoy the video.
And, mostly important, fur USD50 (MSRP CNY169/USD25 in China, thanks to your Ali/Etsy traffickers, as the day of posting).
The price on Ali raised to USD63 after Trump Liberation Day Tariff (2nd Apr, 2025). That's nonsense. Trafficker said Junlai increased their purchasing price, which is not true confirmed by Junlai.
