Review- Majohn P139 Expedition

The first leak of this pen dated back to Nov, 2023. After some regular delays, it was launched yesterday. The high price due to: 1. ebonite feed - but it does not come with Low Ink Refill function 2. all metal piston components - why? MB Hemingway with all metal piston mechanism? so, both "upgrade specifications" do not actually deliver any "upgrade in function". Pro: quite a bit vintage pen look, homage to MB Hemingway, don't sleep old man don't sleep. Con: expensive, compared with other makers with similar specifications. no Low Ink Refill function. when posted, the cap will rest on piston knob and turn it with ease (pictures near the end).

Review - Junl/Wing Sung 632 18K Ebonite Hard Rubber

Hello Comrade This color is called "Fanta", the most sought after variation among the 15 colors in ebonite. I paid $180 (1280 of Chinese Yuan) for this, with standard straight 18K F. I learnt that, some seller on Esty Buy is asking for $260 to ship to the States. Well... now you know their bottom line. Pro: #8 18K nib, ebonite piston, for $180, come on! well finished details Low Ink Refill Con: Nib Tip Quality Consistency - China pen makers have been making huge progress in recent 2 years. According to my experience, Jinhao Steel M, never a failed one. But for Junl, you are taking your chances here. Junl has been very successful and renown in recent years for her innovation and original designs, but not for its nib tip quality consistency (same of modern Pelican BTW). If you are out of China, you out of the reach of Junl factory warranty. My personal experience of several purchases with Junl requires factory warranty for 2 times, one to send me a new feed to fix

Review - Majohn Ti136 (P136 in titanium)

Ti136 is a name I gave it to. The official name is "P136 Titanium". It is titanium, and it is a variation of P136, why not call it Ti136. what a splendid name! Well, the entire May and June were just mostly quiet for China pen industry. HD launched some pen in the mid of June, which did not stir that much of wave. As a tradition, Majohn delays. But it was delayed from June to first week of July, which is a huge improvement. Does anyone still remember how long the P136 was delayed? It was 2 years! Pro: two surface finishing, matt & hammer functional piston cap (and more parts) is interchangeable with MontBlanc 146, if you bother. Con: titanium is cheap, but processing titanium costs a fortune. Matt version, prone to scratch. I already scratched mine in 5 minutes and 38 seconds the box was opened. To sum up, I bet Ti136 will again be kind of "one off deal".
